How to make a claim
- Report the accident to a police officer as soon as possible (if the police did not attend the accident scene).
- Complete an Application for Benefits (Form B) and return it to us within 12 months of the date of the accident.
- Also complete a Notice of Accident (Form A) if you were the driver and/or owner of a vehicle involved in the accident.
1. Notify Tasmania Police
Report the accident to a police officer as soon as possible (if the police did not attend the accident scene).
The accident will need to be reported in person at your local police station. Find a Police Station
2. Report the accident
If you were the driver or owner of a vehicle involved in an accident, you can notify us of the accident circumstances by completing a Notice of Accident.

Complete an Application for Benefits and submit it to us within 12 months of the date of the accident.
